New Life Deaf Church Recent Report
| Awesome Worship God has led us to change the worship from following English structure as in many services held for the Deaf, to singing them in American Sign Language. God has anointed this effort. Several of the Deaf people have come up to us and said, "Now I understand what those songs mean. It is so clear!" This is a real witness to us that this has been led of God. One man, a missionary to Russia, said, "This will be a wonderful way to also teach Deaf people the scriptures." This is true because many of our songs are scriptures. When the Deaf leave the service now they can take the scriptures with them in their mind and their hearts! |

| God's Spirit is Moving Follow in the preaching at one Sunday worship time God's Spirit was moving with deep conviction to have hearts of flesh which are soft and obedient to Jesus. We are not to have hearts of stone. We saw two people come forward with tears of repentance and commit themselves to following Christ in deeper more obedient ways! It was wonderful to see God working in people's hearts! Following the service we had warm fellowship with a cookout and great food! |
On another Sunday the Spirit of God led us to cancel the preaching and pray for each other. It was wonderful as we saw every person come to pray for the others. Some people were scared but willing! They prayed beautiful prayers! It was a time that was truly led by the Spirit of God. Our hearts were thrilled as people who have never prayed publicly stood to lay hands on and pray for each other.

Louis Flett, Missionary From Time to time we have Guest speakers. We have had Louis "Red" Flett, from New Mexico, come to preach. He is Deaf himself. This was an anointed time of ministry. He shared briefly his testimony and how God used reading the Bible to change his life. We were challenged to spend time in the Word of God to receive power for living and witnessing. This was a powerful time. Since that day we have seen people becoming more interested in studying God's Word. |
| Wednesday Bible Study On Wednesday nights we have been studying the Different Kinds of Love, What Does Love Really Mean, Love Your Enemies Who Hurt You, How To Bless Your Enemies and other ways God wants us to live. We realize it doesn't matter what other people do, it only matters that we follow Jesus and obey Him. We studied how Satan starts his Garden of Evil (planted through seeds of distrust, doubt, suspicion) and how he spreads it through gossip and rumor. |

You Are Invited!!!
You are invited to attend either the Church service, Wednesday
Night Bible Study, or the Deaf Family Nights. Well, if you are too far away, wait
until you are passing through. (smile)
New Life Deaf Church meets every Sunday at 10:00-11:30 AM. We
have been seeing the Spirit of God moving in the people. The people are
encouraged to have smart hearts and lives, not just smart minds.
Wednesday Bible Study starts at 7:00 PM and is a
great time for study, asking questions and learning about God's
will for your life. We always have a time of food and fellowship
following the study time.
Deaf Family Night (Currently rescheduled for ATV Rallies)
is for families and friends to
come and have a short devotional followed by food and games
together. It offers a time to for developing friendships and
being a living witness to others. Deaf Family Night is held the
third Friday of each month. CODAs who
are often hearing, and hearing people who want to fellowship with
the Deaf are encouraged to come. It is really great time!
New Life Deaf Church of Pittsburgh This ministry has moved from meeting
in a home to meeting in the Lutheran Church across from the Western Pennsylvania
School of the Deaf (WPSD). We are excited about the new sense of family
that is happening there. It also has other activities besides the church
services. There is a Women's Group and a Family Group that schedules
various activities and fellowship where people come together for spiritual
refreshing and fun.
Here is a map to our Titusville Ministry Center. The Pittsburgh ministry can be easily found across from WPSD.
